Slide Into Something Awesome!

  • Ever wanted to make your own slideshow to show what you’ve learned?

Google Slides is like a magic stage where you can add words, pictures, and even videos to share your ideas.

Whether you're working on a project with a friend or giving a solo presentation, Google Slides lets you create and shine—no printer or flash drive needed!

How to Use Google Slides (Even If You've Never Tried Before!)

Step 1: Open Google Slides

First, go to your Google Drive. That’s where all your work lives in the cloud.

Click New, then choose Google Slides. Just like that, you're ready to start!

Step 2: Pick a Theme

When your blank slide pops up, you’ll see a bunch of theme options on the right. Themes are designs that make your slides look cool and organized.

Choose one you like—don’t worry, you can always change it later.

Step 3: Make Your Title Slide

This first slide is where you put the title of your project. Click where it says “Click to add title” and type in your topic.

Below that, type your name so everyone knows who made it. Congrats—you’ve made your first slide!

Step 4: Add More Slides

  • Want to say more?

Click the plus sign (+) near the top left to add a new slide. Each one can hold new ideas, pictures, or facts.

If you're using a theme, each new slide will match the look of your first one.

Step 5: Fix Mistakes Like a Pro

If you mess up and add the wrong slide—no big deal. Just right-click on the slide you don’t want and click Delete.

You’re in control!

Step 6: Add Bullet Points

Click the text box and then the bullets icon (it looks like little dots). Type short, important facts.

Bullets help you organize your thoughts and make your slides easy to read.

Step 7: Keep Going!

Each time you want to add a new idea or topic, just hit the plus sign again. Keep going until you’ve shared everything you want to say.

Don’t forget—you can always move slides around or change what they say later.
