We have thoughts about lots of things!
An opinion is what you think or feel about something.
For example, an opinion would be if you think puppies are the cutest animals or like chocolate ice cream more than vanilla.
An opinion isn’t right or wrong; it’s just what you think. If you like chocolate ice cream and someone else likes vanilla, neither of you is wrong.
You just have different opinions!
Knowing the difference between an opinion and a fact is important.
A fact is something that is always true, and you can prove it.
For example, an apple is a fruit. That’s a fact! You can look it up in a book or online and find out that an apple is a fruit.
No! It’s just what you think. Someone else might think differently.
That means it’s an opinion.
