Save your stuff and show it off! Learn how to upload pictures and files to your Google Drive.
There’s an easy way to keep your work safe and easy to find. It’s called uploading to Google Drive!
What Is Google Drive?
Google Drive is like a big backpack for your computer files. But instead of carrying it around, it lives in the cloud!
That means you can open your work from any computer, at school or at home, as long as you can log in to your Google account.
What Is Uploading?
Uploading means putting something from your computer—like a picture or story—into your Google Drive. Once it's there, you can open it later or share it with your teacher or a friend.
Learn How to Upload!
Go to Google Drive.
Open your internet browser and type drive.google.com. Log in with your Google account if needed.
Click “New.”
On the left side, find the button that says New. Click it!
Choose “File Upload.”
You’ll see some choices. Click on File Upload.
Find Your File.
A window will pop up. Look through the folders on your computer and click on the file (like a photo, drawing, or document) you want to upload.
Click “Open.”
After you click on your file, choose Open. Now wait a few seconds… and ta-da! It will appear in your Google Drive.
Look for the File in “My Drive.”
Once it’s uploaded, it’ll be saved in your Drive. You can open it, share it, or keep it safe for later.
Why It’s Helpful
