  • Have you ever told a story with pictures and words on a screen?

That’s what you can do with Google Slides! It’s like a digital book you get to create all by yourself.

You can choose how the pages look, what they say, and even add pictures that move.

Get ready to click, type, and shine!

How to Make Your Very Own Slideshow

Google Slides helps you make a slideshow—a bunch of pages (called slides) you can show on a screen.

You can use slides to tell a story, share something you learned, or show off something cool you made.

Let’s get started!

Google Slides logo

  1. Open Google Slides

Go to and click the big plus sign to make a new slideshow.

  1. Pick a Theme (or Not!)

A theme makes all your slides look the same—like matching outfits! You can pick one, or click the plain white slide to make it your own.

  1. Type Your Words

Click in the big text box and write something. It could be your name, a title, or a fun fact!

  1. Add a New Slide

Want another page? Click the little plus button (it says “New Slide”) to add one.

  1. Add Pictures

Click “Insert” → “Image.” You can look up pictures, draw your own, or find something from your computer.

  1. Make It Yours

Change the color, pick a fun font, or move things around on the slide. This is your show—make it shine!

  1. Watch Your Show

Click “Present” to see your slideshow on the big screen, one slide at a time.
